As a lifetime resident of Florida USA, I've always enjoyed the outdoors. I started making my first knife, a simple hunter in 1984. A year and a half later I had a knife that would cut but it wasn't very pretty and I knew I could do better. That ignited a flame that still burns today.
In 1998, I was accepted into the Knifemakers Guild and started going to knife shows and meeting other knifemakers. That really opened my eyes and gave me many new ideas about knives and the techniques to make them. To this day, when I get back from a show, I can't wait to get back into the shop and try out the things I have learned.
I made mostly fixed blades for about 12 years and then started easing into folders of all kinds. In 2010, I discovered flipper folders and that has been my focus ever since.
In December 2018, after 32 years of selling industrial hardware and making knives spare time in South Florida, my wife and I moved 500 miles to North Florida to be closer to our 3 children and 4 grandchildren. This allowed me to become a full time knifemaker and grandfather.
I like to design slim lightweight knives that are a joy to carry and use and I hope to someday pass my passion on to my grandchildren.
